I’m a freelance writer based in London and specialising in African travel and conservation. My addiction to Africa began after climbing Kilimanjaro in 2000 which effectively changed my life. I took a belated gap year from my career as a business manager in a barristers’ chambers, spending three months in Nepal and then eight months travelling across Africa. On my return, knowing I could never work in an office again, I turned to travel writing to help feed my addiction to the wild places and wonderful people of the continent I find so beguiling. I’ve been returning ever since, now as an award-winning writer published in leading UK newspapers and magazines, including The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, BBC Wildlife magazine, Travel Africa magazine, JRNY and Wanderlust.
