East Africa Specialist

My journey with Africa began in 2013, when I visited a private game reserve nestled at the base of South Africa’s Waterberg Mountains. From the moment I stepped off the plane, I was struck by the rich tapestry of new sights, sounds and scents — it was immediate, immersive, and utterly compelling. What truly stayed with me, though, were the nights spent under the stars, the unforgettable wildlife encounters, and the warmth and generosity of the guides and camp teams who welcomed us so wholeheartedly.

That first trip sparked a deep and lasting connection to the continent. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to return time and again, exploring diverse corners of Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Whether witnessing lightning split the sky during a New Year’s storm in Pafuri, or listening to hyenas challenge lions under a South Luangwa moon, I’ve found there’s nothing quite like the raw, remote wilderness of Africa — where wildlife still reigns.

This passion eventually brought me to Expert Africa in early 2020, joining as an assistant East Africa specialist just before the world stood still. While international travel paused, I took time away from the industry to work as a content writer, before returning to a conservation-led travel company in 2023. There, I crafted itineraries across sub-Saharan Africa, from surprise proposals in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park and Kenya’s Giraffe Manor, to unforgettable family safaris in the iconic Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.

Now, back with Expert Africa’s East Africa team, I’m excited to once again help travellers explore this extraordinary part of the world — and to help share moments of connection with the places, people and experiences that first captured my heart.
